Totally agree with you Every lump should be checked out as each mct can take on a different appearance and also be on the skin or under the skin and unless aspirated there is no way of knowing whether its a harmless fatty lump, wart, etc.

Everything is fine. Roxy's wound is healing beautifully and the consultant said Kathryn (surgeon) did a very good job.

The dark black bit is just blood which will scab over and it's there because of the skin flap, so all 'normal'. Phew, I was a bit worried for a bit there!

Asked about hydrotherapy and physiotherapy but he said she does not need it as she's in beautiful condition and very fit.

The slight loss of muscle tone will return to normal once she starts walking properly again and when normal exercise is resumed. The reason she'd holding the leg up is probably because she feels the stitches and it's getting a bit tighter due to the healing process. She does walk on it when she walks slowly, but Roxy's likes to try and rush so when she does that she tends to hop!

We're back to see Oncology on Tuesday to discuss long term management and also to have her stitches removed.

The Professor who I spoke to tonight on the phone said she's a wonderful little dog, with a lovely soft temperament and they all love her up there.

She hit the deck and 'barood' for tummy tickles so he just examined her there instead of putting her on the table.

What a dog!

What wonderful news!!

Your Roxy is such a lovely girl. She has a wonderful mum to look after her, and seeing as her body is in such great condition. she is bound to heal better

Hope the appointment with Oncology has even better results to show you.

Keep it up Westie, and those hugs and positive healing vibes are still on their way from us all here.

Gentle hugs from me, and slobbery wet ones from Molly n Mindy x x
