Baylor had a grand total of 8 precious puppies! They are beautiful! All healthy and strong and momma is doing great! It was my first time getting to deliver puppies, so it was quite an experience! One I'll never forget! I just took momma out to potty, got her some water and food, and put down fresh bedding for her and the babies. Now its time for all of us to rest! Thank you God and Jesus for watching over the delivery! Thank you all for helping me with the process!! You are all wonderful!!

Well done to Baylor but an even bigger well done to you, having all this dropped on you, 8 puppies is a lot and very happy to hear they're all doing well.
You can sleep now because thats what Baylor will be doing as well, you do need to get her and the babies checked over by the vet. My vet has a separate room I can go in where we don't go through the waiting room, straight out of the car into the room. Take vetbed for Baylor to lie on and have the babies in a box with hot water bottles under a blanket and keep the box covered.

FANTASTIC! I feel stupidly excited about this news! Oh well done you for taking this dog on to start with and seeing her through the birth of her puppies. You are the wonderful one! And all with no previous experience. But I bet this will now go down as a day in your life you will never forget!

Now whatcha gonna do? I mean with NINE dogs?

It's gonna be a very DOGGY CHRISTMAS for you!

Tawney does she have to take them to a vet? I know you and other 'breeders' do. But I recall generations of puppies being born and no vets involved at all. I mean this early on - we used to get told not to handle the pups too much after they were born or dreadful things would happen to them!

Just thinking what a daunting prospect it would be for OP to have to get mummy dog and all those new borns into a vehicle and down to a vet?
