Or breed for pricked/correct ears. It seems that Min Pins which are prick eared in the UK are cropped stateside, and the natural ears can be ghastly and also not pricked, so bred them properly.

Maybe so.........but there are owners who really want to get the most out showing their particular breed of dog....if the dog is properly cared for and loved.........i dont think its the worst ever treatment inflicted on a dog........

All it needs is one small insertion into the rules of Crufts:
"No ear-cropping or tail-docking is permissible."

That IS the rules at Crufts

Since the ban, no illegally docked dogs or ANY cropped dogs can enter, as it's a fee paying show.

Although I've noticed that a lot of dogs being illegally docked here and people being told they wre taken to Ireland, docked, then brought back Yeah right !!!

As for cropping, I don't agree with it for aesthetic purposes at all.

Well dogs with cropped ears have been banned from being shown for donkeys years and effectively docked dogs cannot be shown at Crufts because people have to pay to get in!
