but its a free country every newspaper article is always just one persons opinion we cant ban them all. i wouldnt like to see a country where nobody can say their own opinion out loud. people who know the breed will ignore it and those people who have had bad experiences of the breeds wouldnt of changed their minds even if she had praised them. people mainly make their opinions based on their own experiences

When i had my American Bulldog, i had her before i was able to do any proper research on the breed, she was brought here in a life or death situation through her breeders not ever worming her or her litter mates, she had a serious worm infestation which could have cost her, her life like her littermates, she was the only pup that survived in her litter.
When she was hospitalized i heard such stories about the breed " they are aggressive" "nasty" "shouldnt be around children"....ect.

In truth the people that told me all that couldnt be more wrong, shes turned into a beautiful, soppy big baby, she loves other dogs, shes been around my nephews Staffie, both are bitches they get on wonderfully, not one spat since they have known each other, they both get walked togther because my nephew works all day, infact his girl spends most of her time here, she loves all our other dogs, and our other dogs love her. We have been consistant and patient with her training, any person who truly cares about their breed is willing to put such time and effort in, anybody that dont, dont give a damn about their dogs and dont deserve to own one.

it would be a boring world if everyone had the same opinion lel. also getting all worked up about that woman wont change the fact that it was printed and she is probably thrilled about all the letters as writers aim to stir people with their articles

It is worth discussing Lel, there's enough staffy owners on here that that artical has proberbally caused alot of bad for the reputation of the breed. The proposal of the ban in Ontario started off as one newspaper artical and look whats happening over there.

Fair play to all of those who have wrote to the paper. I guess noone has got a reply yet?
