Same here, and we manage it as best we can, and again to be honest, if we no longer could keep her, she would be PTS, there is no way in hell I`d take the chance of putting her in rescue and hoping the right home came along, better she be at rest and safe than 1) spending her life in kennels, 2) ending up with owners who were unsuitable.
Ditto - I couldn't trust anyone else with my dog, if I couldn't keep him any longer than that would be the only option to me. Thank goodness he is with me for life, not a chance of me not being able to keep him and there are two of us so if one pops our clogs the other can take over. My one wouldn't survive in kennels because I suspect any rescue centre would have him pts because he's a brown large brindle staffie with dog-reactivity - who's going to take the poor boy. Shudder to think about it.
