I was expecting the vets to have given her something, but doesn't sound like it. Drontal is really gentle, and I always give it to my puppies when I do their first worming at 2 and 5 weeks, then I change to panacur, but with the terrible time she has had I think perhaps the Drontal is best for the time being. Keep on top of the worming for a while to ensure she's completely rid, they do form cysts in the gut and once they're established they are the very devil to get rid of. Her mother should really have been wormed daily from Day 40 of her pregnancy, but I very much doubt any of them saw any form of wormer, ever, better to be safe than sorry in this instance. With young children about you can't take any chances at all.

Check with your vet before you give her anything. Anything you give her may affect the samples they want so you need to check that it is OK to give her anything now

Please check with your vet what they have given her for worms round and tape. You could end up giving her an overdose. If you remember I did mention an all round wormer for round and tape in an earlier posting. Hope she is getting really better by the day. You could mention heart worms as well to them. But I am sure they will see you right by giving the correct wormer for all kinds of nasties. Do you know if any of the other pups are still there or who bought them?

So happy to hear she is so much better. Have you contacted the RSPCA regarding all this and your concerns. You can email if you don't want to phone. They must be stopped because otherwise they'll be breeding again in 6 months time from the poor mother and other people will be going through the same as you, and possibly puppies will die

Oh that's great, from what my puppy owner was saying its a criminal offence, and he's the guy that deals with dog complaints in the police in his area, so he knows what's what.
Hoping they get their name in lights and are banned for life, they should bring back public executions for scum like that

The problem is people like that go off and find somewhere else to breed and under a different name. This has happened dopwn my way. Still at least this little mite is in a better place. Good Luck with her.

Hello, How is the pup now? Did you get the results back from her sample at the vet?
