Oh no, feel even worse now even though Rosie didn't kill it

It was a poor water vole, hope it heals ( wishful thinking)

*looks slyly at Mandy's glass*

I will never forget when Tilly caught a mouse, she looked SO pleased with herself, then I screamed and she dropped it in shock

I know it is, normally when Rosie chases fluffy creatures, she never catches them, think she caught this poor thing unawares

I bet that water vole has had worse happen before and has shaken it off and moved on *fingers crossed*. Rosie has great bite inhibition and probably didn't even squeeze too hard!!

Mandy I really do sympathise - well, with having the Jimster for a dog I can do little else really, as he has killed no end of innocent creatures since we have had him. It's horrible, but it's what they do unfortunately.

Ratty could well recover you know, and live to glide down the river again with mole in their little rowing boat!

Well it wouldn't have been pleased would it lol
The ones Cariad and Lona got were nothing like that thank goodness.
Mandy did you mean to drink the ENTIRE bottle or was it an oversight of some kind even Sally didn't get much of a look in as for myself and Lynn, we saw the glasses, but nothing else in the way of drinking out of them.

Water voles are the largest indigenous vole and as TW quite rightly says a gingery brown colour (very occasionally dark brown in isolated pockets). They don't have the length of body and tail that rats do and their general appearance is of a rounder fatter and dare I say it, cuter appearance. Even when swimming on the surface they seem to sit on the water like a bobbing cork, rather than swimming with body submerged and head held up out of the water like a rat. Bye fer now.
