I was mortified Rosie has never caught anything before, I think she was more surprised cos it squeaked, Hubby thinks she might have thought that it was a toy cos of her love of fluffy toys with a squeak.

I think water voles are smaller than rats and a different colour aren't they.Well Malka, it IS gone midnight where you are, and you didn't get much sleep last night!

The ones that Cariad and Lona got were very dark, that is the only glimpse I had of them, but they were pretty big, so was pretty sure they were young rats.
Ages since I saw a vole, but it was like a gingery brown colour and a lot smaller than I expected it to be
