I don't know if you feed Luna any carbs but I have found that soaked oats often dry things up a bit.

interesting stuff! I have never heard of the SA37, will look into it.
I don't have any routine, just put different things in over a week or so.

Eggs (if that counts)
cottage cheese (mostly daily)**
garlic (daily)
pro-biotic yoghurt (a scientist friend (also has barf dogs) assures me human stuff is fine for dogs)
seaweed powder
evening primrose oil (few drops as majorly expensive)
cod liver oil
lots of different seeds (they dont seem to come out the other end, so assuming they get digested!)
brewers yeast (not sure where that idea came from.... Billinghurst prob)

**I think this is really important for digestion, esp if giving commercial food (i recommend it to everyone)

Hiya B/L, offal as in liver/kidneys only need be given about 2 times a week & only in small amounts. Heart is classed as muscle meat & can be used as part of the normal diet like evry other meat, pork/beef/lamb etc.
So maybe leave it till end of week for offal. Veggies start 1 of them now & then introduce anothe r 1 tomorrow & vary them each time you give them but just small amounts for awhile, 2-3 teaspoonsful. Mybe start with carrot then add broccoli next day, then following day add spinach.

Glad things still going well

Hi Jess, interesting what you say about cottage cheese

Know its a v high quality for easily digested source of protein but not about making other foods digestable (if thats what your saying?) where did you get that from?

Good morning Christine

Thank you for that

I'll wait till the end of the week with the offal. When you say small amounts, what do you mean.. I was calculating 10% per day, is that totally off?? That would be around 40-ish grams a day, so if only fed 2 times a week, we are talking about 120 grams in one meal.. Which is over half of her "meat" portions.. She has about 170 grams of meat/fish/tripe whatever for dinner..

She got tripe last night, and no problems this morning So things are going forward quite nicely
