Help!

Okay I got some major issues with Tammy's nails.

I don't seem to be able to keep them short. I walk her to try and keep the nails short, I've tried clipping them but they are too hard.

Anybody any suggestions on how to soften the nails a bit or what preperations u do before u clip the nails?

Any help would be greatly apprecited.

I don't think you should have to soften them before clipping
What kind of clippers do you use ??
I have Guilotine type and I clip little bits every week rather than a big clip every Preston Guild

Have you considered using a Dremel on her nails?

This is the best site you will find on exactly how to use a Dremel on your dog's nails: http://www.greytalk.com/~jrosenberg/dremel/dremel.htm

I bought a pair of Dog Nail clippers from my local pet store, they looka bit like human nail clippers only bigger if that makes any sense

I have tried to clip small amounts every week. Maybe it's the kind of clipper's I'm using.

Perfectly serious Staffy

Have used it myself & it does an excellent job. If you decide to try it do follow the instructions on the site to the letter. It would not be difficult to frighten/hurt your dog if you do not follow Dawn's instructions very carefully.
