I didn't for a moment think that Losos was advocating any such thing.

Correct - I'll have to check my wording but 'off lead' dogs near to roads & traffic is a no no unless you live where Moobli lives or where we used to live but those places are few and far between

I thought your wording was perfectly clear and I agreed with you. Ours doesn't get off the lead either where there is a risk of encountering traffic.

At the local convenience store he gets tied to a bicycle and told to wait which he does, As I posted before, I'm pretty sure he would wait without being tied. But it's a chance I won't take.

I am hoping to visit the Outer Hebrides in the next few years. Looks amazing.

One of the things I liked was the mild ocean temperatures.
The absence of trees was a surprise though.

I miss trees. We do have some where I live but mainly plantation as it is a shooting estate and it is mainly moorland, I have to travel for natural woodland. My house in the Highlands has some stunning scenery that is hard to beat imo.

My scenery

Stunning photographs.
Not sure how our dog would react to deer - or they to him.
I think I'd be a bit worried.
Biggest thing he's seen was a St Bernard and he was fine with that.

He's looking back as if to say "what the hell is this?"
And Max is not by any means a small dog at about 33kg.

Anyway, they had a gallop around. Sort of cart horse and race horse.
No leads required.

Great photo I think because my dogs are stock broken they are more easily controlled around the red deer too, although I wouldn't entirely trust them if I were not present.

Excellent!
And I agree about trusting them.
