What do you do to keep fit and healthy?

Now that Dogsey's new look is up, I can start going back to the gym - I miss my daily workout and sauna

I walk the dogs every day, I swim about 70 lengths of breast stroke 5 days a week, well I swim as fast as I can for an hour I don't count anymore and most days I work out in the gym or at home for at least an hour probably more. I do an hours High intensity interval training followed by weights. I sit in the steam room can't hack the sauna.

I've always exercised only what I do has changed, but my current routine has been since I turned 40 before that I played sport. I don't do exercise classes I'm a bit uncoordinated and prefer to do my own thing. Well my health has deteriorated due to my auto immune condition but my GP and various consultants are astounded at how well I've kept it up. I keep advocating exercise to all and sundry on my auto immune forum but tbh most would rather take another pill where as my meds are kept to a minimum.

I try each morning to complete my own little exercise routine.
I don't exactly work up a sweat but I hope it helps to keep my limbs supple.

Oy that I've been slacking. It is so cold out there and so much to clean in here. I wear a FitBit tracker. Do very well some weeks. My friend list is every age and activity level and at 53 I leave many in the dust. But the last couple weeks brrrrrr. Time to get my butt hoofing again.

Gosh! All you energetic people put me to shame! I don't do anything in particular to stay healthy apart from walking the dogs and working in the house and garden. My most energetic occupation in winter is chopping wood!

I'm fortunate in that I've been blessed with good health all my life and still am even though I'm now in my mid 70's. Long may it last!

Well my dogs and job keep me from lolling around too much but I'd love to do more like swimming. I couldn't do early morning or late evening swims and the rest of the time the pools (and car parks) are crowded which doesn't appeal to me.

I walk my dogs twice a day . I have had RA since my thirties so am limited in what I do. I used to jog and go riding and ride a bike .

Come to think about it I have an exercise bike in my shed that I've forgotten about !
