Cherry eye
Hi, I have recently had an awful time with my dog having had his cherry eye operated on. He howled for two days and didn't rest until absolutely exhausted. We couldn't leave him on his own and we even had to share his bed for over a week. This took nearly three days I though he was gonna have a heart attack. He got extremely stressed with the cone and wouldn't allow us to put drops in. He began to nip us if we got the drops near him. He ended up getting an ulcer in his eye and was in even more pain. He ended up wearing his cone for a month and wasn't allowed on walks for any longer than 10 mins a day, which was awful!
His cherry eye has now returned and I really don't know what to do. I'm not sure I can put him or us through it all again. His behaviour has only just returned to how he was before the op as he became really naughty.
Would leaving his eye do any damage?
Any advice is welcome please
