A sign of friendship or a sign of contempt?!

Just met a guy with three huskies, and as I was chatting to him one of the males lifted his leg and peed on me - seconds later he did it on my other leg.

Should I be flattered or insulted?

Did the bloke not stop his dog doing that. I would be mortified if one of mine did that to someone.

The only time that happened to me, was my Boxer who hardly ever cocked his leg decided he would piddle up my leg while I was chatting to a bloke up the park and Dudley was obviously not impressed. He got his point across, the conversation ended and I went home to change.

The first wee happened before the man could do anything about it. I suppose he should have then put him on the lead which would have prevented him doing it the second time. He apologized, and said he reckoned the dog was welcoming me into the pack!

Er no, weeing on another dog is not a welcoming sign.
Usually when dogs meet for the first time, one wees and then the other may or may not wee on top of their wee, very much depends on where they are status wise. If one wee'd on another dog then I would take that as a very offensive sign, i.e. if someone came over and wee'd on you because they knew they could and you wouldn't object and couldn't do anything about it.
