Seesaw sheenanigans/ Observations
Got to admit when we first started this he wasn't particularly keen. To the point I thought I'd build one so we could practise at home.
Right about when I was about to start putting it together he decided it was all easypeasy.
Ony thing was for me to remember to tell him to "Wait".
Fast forward to about 4 weeks ago and he decided the seesaw was incredibly scarey and he didn't want to get on it. I probably contributed by getting getting in a a minor tangle around halfway across and flapping my arms around; he's not big on flapping arms - but actually that wasn't the main cause.
So there I was back to coaxing him over with lots of encouragement and contemplating digging out the various bits for the creation of a home version.
Don't need to. I'm pretty sure he's cracked it. He was pretty good last week & near perfect this weekend. Better than he used to be.
The difference is he's sussed what makes it move - so at the halfway point drops into commando mode and inches forward till it tips - all with no input from me.
I'm almost certain this realisation is what freaked him out. The seesaw moving is no longer an act of God - It's all him.
.
Kind of cool.
