Perhaps it's the lack of the real thing that's getting certain people overexcited by the book?

I read a review which said it was badly written porn. I`m not sure if well-written porn would be better...... Possibly it would. I read L`Histoire d`O many years ago and it improved my colloquial French no end.

I think those echo-ing people's reviews of the book should find themselves a copy and make their own mind up

Maybe for some it is. Some like the book some hate it a bit like marmite.

The girls at work are raving about it.

Not my type of thing, really, so I've not bothered.

That was no help whatsoever, was it? Sorry!

A friend of mine can't put this book down or stop talking about it come to that, but then she's into the Mills and Boon type fiction *yawn*. Give me a book written by Brian Cox anyday, far more interesting read, I love facts rather than c*ap.

I haven't read it, I wouldn't give it house room, I don't like living in dream worlds, I like the real thing, so I never do fiction, especially mummy pawn as Murf so eloquently put it , but I saw the programme the other week on the telly, got bored, so channel hopped after 10 mins or so. It would be the last book I'd pick off the shelf, but then I've always been a bit of a prude I had a strange upbringing ya know!

Each to their own
