Burgess Supadog Sensitive

http://www.burgesspetcare.co.uk/prod...sensitive.html

Any thoughts on this food? I thought it looked very good for the price and was thinking of trying it at some point but then I noticed the salt listed in the ingredients...

Its not a bad food i don't think, its just the salt that would put me off the same as you. I think they do a salmon version of this as well now. I know a few people who have fed it and it produced lots of waste !

Salt is used as both a preservative and flavouring, you will find it in many foods but going under the chemical name.

Ingredients

Lamb Meal (min 26%), Rice (min 26%), Beet Pulp, Poultry Fat, Salt, Vitamins.

mosty carbs (64%) and meat.

Seen worse.

I use it for my greyhounds and they have done very well on it. Its sorted out their loose motions, it got weight on my girl and they are in excellent bodily condition with a good shine to their coat.
They have always had the lamb version but I am trying the salmon now and they seem as good on that.

The TM grew up on it as even expensive puppy food went in one end and out the other. He grew into a very nice adult on it and I don't think it produced any more poop than the JW does. My friend fed her showdogs on it for several years. Not a bad food at all for the price. I only changed because my shar-pei at the time didn't really get on with lamb and used to puke up bile every morning on it, hence changing to JW turkey & rice.

This is the kibble I had my dogs on at one point, and still continued to keep it in once i'd switched them to raw, they did well on it.

I would have no qualms feeding it on a permanent basis because it seems a good food for the price.

Just to add, I've fed my two labradors on the Burgess Supadog Sensitive with Lamb and Rice for over a year, and they have done really well on it, nice solid poos and really shiny coats.

It's the only kibble I've found, (and I've tried most of them), that doesn't give them runny poos and smelly wind!
