How much do you pay for your dog to be groomed professionally?

As the title says...

How much do you pay, and what does your dog have done?

Would you expect differing prices for say a small short haired breed to a small longhairs breed? (idea being short hair just needs a shampoo and dry, long hair could need trimming)

Interested in pricing, I don't really know because I do my dogs myself.

I recently took Bunnie for a "wash and brush up" as she had rolled in dog poo, and I'm unable to bath her.

She was in the middle of a mega-moult at the time.

She came back beautiful, but either had a reaction to the shampoo, or was subjected to over-zealous grooming, and she was scabby all down her back. I shan't be doing it again.

Cost was £30

I charge anything from £15 to £55 depending on the size of the dog. matted dogs are extra, as are dogs which take longer due to temperament issues. Extra time is charged at £10 per half hour.

Average price for a small dog bath and clip is £25

I never thought that people paid that much, interesting that mine would cost around £25 each. Glad I do it myself

Do you take your dogs just for a general bath, how many of you who have long coated dogs get them clipped short? E.g cockers, OES.. I've even seen golden retrievers clipped, not that I agree with that.

Both my short haired dogs cost me £33. £18 for buster and £15 for Coles. That includes nails clipped and ears cleaned.

I think that's pretty cheap.

I pay £35 to have my Goldie bathed, clipped, nails & anal glands. This is what he used to look like after.

3 Cocker spaniels - every 3 months they have hydrobath, short clip (easier to manage) nails & ears. £27.00 each. I bath them myself in between going several times!!! They love going to the groomers and the hands on contact.

I rang round a few weeks ago for the price for stripping a Border Terrier and prices came in at £30-£35.
