Milo - 1 year old male Jack Russell Terrier
Milo, Jack Russell Terrier, DOB 11.10 - Gatwick, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Milo needs a terrier home who can offer him patience, safety and occupation. He needs to settle meeting dogs outside as he is currently excitable. The usual terrier requirements; terrier-proof garden, exit management and respect i.e. non confrontational approach.
His Story: Milo was on the vets PTS list as the pound was full and needed space. He was found, surrendered in and bounced 2 homes as not 100% with dogs. Vet assessed his temperament and found him friendly and submissive. She called terrierrescue and asked “I want to refuse to PTS but need a rescue place in the next 2 days can you take? He is delightful”! We said 'Yes' and Milo lived.
Advert: Milo is a small 1 year old JRT who is energetic but settles well in company. He has tremendous appeal and although he bounced homes from the pound, these were people who bought a small dog home with 'a wing and a pray' and gave him ‘no time’. He needs time to develop skills as he is a confused teenager. In confident hands Milo visibly relaxes. He travels well. It’s kennels which takes it out of him as he is living on his nerves.
Milo is a tiny tri-coloured tot with a wispy coat and bright searching eyes. He has a good temperament, is excellent with people, children and when handled by strangers. He may need negotiated terms as he settles in. Terriers need to be handled with respect, given reassurance and be allowed to be their own person. Milo will adjust and offer his new owners pure entertainment. Milo needs owners to see him through. He is emerging into a magical terrier.
“Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".
