Paxo ..... to May 5th 2010
She may of been a chicken, but she was my chicken.
With a beautiful personality that finally shone through.
She came completely bald with urine burn marks and weak legs from the battery farms, but blossomed into a beautiful dark red, Rhode Island and full feathered, she ruled the roost with her bossiness but fairness.
When we picked her up back in 2008 , she hide her head and worried about us, but within days we saw a difference in her and her two friends Onion and Tyme.
I remember how she always looked so funny running towards us, a completely bald chicken, with the greeting clucking and the silly squeak she did.
She spent many hours on my lap when I sat out in the garden as did her two friends and was always up for a moan when I spoke to her
like a little old lady.
You will be missed Paxo you can be sure of that and anytime anyone says to me ''its just a chicken'' I will tell them all about you as you were more than that.
RIP darling I hope you will be happy at Rainbow Bridge, enjoy foraging around as you did here during the last 2 years and here's hoping you find many juicy worms
