Windows 7 mail help.

I got my free upgrade today, the one that cost £15! Anyhow, it says that it doesnt have windows mail incorporated into it, so what do I use for mail? it says download an alternative, what? Which? where? how? HELP!!!!!!

Thanks Rich. So are you saying I have to download that separately then, afterwards? Will I have to put the SAME setting in as are currently in windows mail?

Yup, download and install it. There should be instructions. Apparently Thunderbird 3 has a very good setup wizard.

BTW, what's this free £15 upgrade? I'm intrigued!

Thanks Rich, youre a star!

I bought a new base unit and it had vista on it, it said that all new models were entitled to a FREE windows 7 upgrade, they didnt tell you the SHIPPING was £15, for a CD!!!!!

Blimey! I hope it was well packaged for £15!

Let us know what you think of Thunderbird 3. We use version 2 at home but might upgrade if 3 is packed with cool features...

Cheers Leo. Im having probs with thunderbird, I copied settings to transfer but they dont correspond with the new ones so Im stuck. I looked at live mail, but it just seems like hotmail?

Do you mean your account settings won't set up automatically? There must be a manual way of setting up.

As I said, I haven't used TB3 so your best bet would be to look for a tutorial on the Mozilla site or by Googling.

I have tracked down outlook express 6 for you.

You have to download from a non offical ms site since ms have forgot to include a mail client in windows 7 and not allowing the download of outlook express by itself.

Take alook at see if it's what you want it was developed by MS.

Outlook Express 6.0

Note: download and install at your own risk
