Good luck with your consultation. Make sure you go armed with a list of questions.
I found out yesterday I need a full knee replacement (left knee) at 35 so I know how you feel.
You'll be absolutely fine no matter what your consultant says. And remember, it's your hip. He can't do anything without your sonsent so if you're not 100% happy about something, then ask him about it - whatever it is.
When it gets to the stage of replacing joints, it's usually down to quality of life. If your quality of life will be improved by having the surgery, then go for it.
Thinking of you.

Oh yes I went with my list of questions. The consultant admitted he found me scarey because I am a retired hospital sister
He said that because of my poor quality of life I fitted all the criteria.

I hope all has gone well for you today Fudgley.
So I have agreed to the op and signed the consent form
The deadline the consultant has for meeting his targets for the op is August 19th so it could be very soon.
Thanks for all the good wishes and positive vibes, it always helps
