You lost a puppy ? That is very sad CC, did you check it out was it fit? I used to have cockers too, Orange Road and BlueRoan. I only ever remember a bitch overlaying one pup and it was later found to have a cleft pallet..poor little baby..the vet said the dam often seems to knows when a puppy has a probem and this one (not a cocker) would have had to be PTS

Yes, the puppy was fit and well, slightly smaller than the rest, so probably not as strong, but I'm afraid (as hard as it may sound) that when you breed puppies you have to be prepared to lose at least one..........I wasn't prepared and I couldn't stop crying for days! :smt089

My vet had only checked the litter over the day before, listened to chest, heart, lungs and they were all perfect......which is what probably makes it worse
