Blackie - cruciate ligament

just been to vets and they have diagnosed that blackie has torn his cruciate ligament - not fully torn - in one of his back legs. we have got pills and he not to jump or run round like the loony he is. basically got to keep him quiet so no toys as he likes you to throw them for him to catch.

going to be a long couple of weeks..........

Gosh, as you say, it is going to be a long couple of weeks, but, if you can get it to heal by itself, it has to be better than an op.

Good luck

hopefully it will heal by itself but if no better in a couple of weeks he will be reviewed under sedation so they can have a better idea of the extent of the damage and a decision will be made about surgery at that point.

Whilst I'm sorry to hear he has torn his cruciate (which is bad enough), I am pleased he hasn't done it in completely - as this would mean an op and a very long slow healing process.

I know it will be hard, but as long as he has tons of rest to help him recouperate, he should be fine

Hugs to you and Blackie xxx

Bless him. I hope it heals by itself. The problem is that when they start feeling better they want to be doing more but obviously that will set them right back. Good luck with his rest period x
