Happy ending - kind of!

A couple of weeks back in our area a lovely male akita was stolen, thiefs drove through the garden fence and stole the dog, the dog was missing for a week, then the other day the owner answered the door to find a man with the akita, who handed the dog over and left! They believe the dog was stolen to sire a litter the dog is back with its family, but now there will be a litter of unhealth checked pups , with no thought into their health, just thought into money how sad is that!

I think they were very lucky to get the dog back, I've never heard of that in our area, only when they've stolen a dog and then asked for a ransom? I'm glad the dog came back ok, there's some nasty people around out there isn't there.

Oh my goodness ... I cannot believe something like that could happen (especially with a Happy-ish ending). Is this really something that happens often???
