Strange lump

I work up this morning and my right shoulder blade was aching....thought I probable slept funny as it was that kind of ache.

As the morning has gone on, the pain got a bit worse, and also started at the front, just under my collar bone.
I put my hand there, and *just* below my collar bone was a lump, quite warm too, and the area aches when I breath in deeply.

I asked my work collegue to look, to make sure I wasn't imagining things (cos you tend to do that when you'll ill!), and she saw it too.

Nipped to the chemist which is only 2 doors up, to ask if they had any idea what it could be, or recomment anything I could take to help the pain etc.
Was told by a very narky chemist man that he "can't prescribe anything for me"
Err...I didn't ask if he could!
The lady thee told me to try ibuprofen, and if it gets worse go see the doctor.

Have taken some ibuprofen, the lump is still there,a bit bigger if anything, and it's still hurting

Will see how it goes today, and make an appt for tomorrow afternoon at the doctors if it's still there and hurting

I was thinking the same, poss inflammed with fliud. I have one on my right side, I have been advised to leave it, but if it gets bumped etc., it flares up. Go to the Doctors they will be able to tell you.....good luck

Was thinking the same thing here too.
I'd def go and see the gp tomorrow or maybe call NHS direct in the meantime?

Hope you get it sorted, it sounds painful.

I thought that, but i'm not sure if we have glands there or not?!
I've had lymphoma, and the docs always checked above my collar bone...not below.
I was only at the hospital getting my annual checkup on Thursday!!

lol

Yeah, prob will make an appointment in the morning.
Glad you've gone into Mother mode, can't tell my Mum yet until i've been to docs, as it would worry her too much, and it's my uncle (her brothers) funeral tomorrow, so she's stressed as it is!

Definitely do, Hev. It's better to know, and it's probably just a cyst.....

*Hugs*
