Inverted Eyelids

I am just wondering if anyone has a dog that has been through the surgery to amend inverted eyelids ?? Ive heard it is quiet common within Bulldogs, any Bulldog type in particular ? also, Is it a recurring problem or was your dog OK after just the one operation ?? Anyone that can share any experience of this would be very much appreciated as I seem to be getting mixed replies from other sources.

Cheers Very Much, Aaron

I think you mean"Entropion" its hereditary, will be in the breeding lines of your dog, ingrowing eyelids. Surgery is usually very successful.

Have not had the problem myself but have a friend who had both of his chows operated on & it was very successful.

I know that cats are different from dogs, but my friend has a cat with that problem. The cat was actually a rescue and the eyelashes had scarred her eyes (previous owners refused to have the surgery). She had the surgery and is doing great! And they thought that she was going to be blind, but her sight is coming back.
