bladder stones with 10 month old pup

did any of you had experiences with bladder stones with your dog?
what causes them? how do you prevent them?
Farol has been diagnosed with it today.
he was allways on the best dog food i can get around here (canidae and arden grange while he was baby) + meats and veggies and some dairy products.

i tought it is an issue for older dogs, tot for a pup?!

We (I am a vet receptionist) have a young ****zu that has had problems (BIG problems) with bladder stones. He is just 18 mnths and is now on a special diet and (touch wood) doing fine.

I am sorry I cant be of help as to cause etc, I just know that it is not confined to an older dog.
