RIP Finn, plus stick warning for all dog owners

My friends staffy Finn was sadly strangled to death on Friday, when a stick got caught in her collar and the other dogs carried on pulling it thinking it was a game. Her hubby was at the other end of the field picking poo up and by the time he got to them she was dead.
I never let mine play with sticks, and neither does my friend, but this was a sad accident due to a large branch type stick getting stuck and the other dogs thought it was a game.
RIP beautiful staffy babe

My heart goes out to your friends in their grief. It is so awful when a pet dies suddenly and unexpectedly from an accident. Their hearts must be broken

Oh that must have been awful. Hopefully the dog 'passed out' first.

That's the reason we have never had collars on our cats.
