Dog Behaviour Course

Hi,
I fancy doing a dog behaviour course from home. My Dad is working his way through the COAPE courses but that's a bit out of my price range. Does anyone know anything about the course run by www.caninebehaviour.co.uk? It sounds good, just thought I'd ask you opinions?
Thanks
Lynn

Hi fennash,
I don't know about the course you mentioned but I would reccommend the HNC in Canine Behaviour taught through Bishop Burton college - its a good course and very affordable - you also get support via the internet - you can do it as a home based course but you also need to commit to a couple of weekends and one week in the summer. Its run by Angela White who has also written a few books - highly reccommended

Hi Emm,
Thank you for the advice. I know of Angela White and I agree she is a very clever lady. I would love to be able to do this course but unfortunalty I suffer very badly with my nerves and so cannot spend any length of time away from home. which is why I was looking at this other course.

Sorry to hear about your problems - I think the course looks good if you want to learn more about the dog the only problem is you do not get a recognised certificate.

Hope you find the course you are looking for and keep well - have you been on the crosskeys website they have a great range of books on behaviour and training?

i myself am intending to do the coape course, but there are also courses at www.animalcarecollege.co.uk which is more affordable.

edited to add: it doesnt seem that the one you are looking at has any accreditations, ie you wont get any recognised qualifications from it.
