So far, for the standard Virtual Show classes, the Show Sec has allowed two weeks per class for people to get their entries in.

Sometimes there are last minute entries but on the whole it seems that the majority of members who are going to enter a class have done so within the first week.

The first Dash class was only open for entry for three days and the entry was phenomenal in that short time.

So, for future standard classes, would you like them to stay at the two week entry time or would you be happy with one week ?
Would that be long enough for most of you ?

[ Dash classes are different and will continue at three days each, its the pedigree and novelty classes with collators and a judge which I`m considering on the timing. ]

There would still be advanced notice for classes, and particularly lengthy notice for video classes so no one need worry about that side of it for class preparation.

If changing to weekly classes of course we could fit a lot more of them in before the end of the year but I would be asking for more volunteers :smt079 for collating and judging of course as I don`t want the same collators especially ending up doing all the work but each collator would then have a shorter stint each time for any classes they work on.

It would also mean people waiting far less time for classes they would be eligible for, especially the pedigree / purebred classes, so the momentum would perhaps be better for the Show generally.

Work wise for me as Show Sec it really makes no difference either way but what would you, the potential entrants, prefer ?
Staying with fortnightly classes or going to weekly?
[ there would still be a day or two at the end of a class for judging and award giving before the next class would be opened ].

I would really like your imput as this is a Dogsey show for and by Dogsey members so its important to know if shortening class times would still give you the time you need to enter :smt001
