Depends where you're going and how much you want to spend. If you want a straight room that's clean, Premier Travel Lodge on London Road is good. If you want to push the boat out a little, the Lace Market Hotel is lovely. There are lots in and around the city centre but if you're coming on a weekend I'd advise you to book some time in advance because they get full so quickly.

Thanks all. We're not going at the weekend so that should be okay. We just want an okay family room for one night, with a nice brekkie to boot!!!

Leo it's a flying visit to see our last pup, Saturn, who is in training there. We are going to Calverton to see him 'work' but thought, having a 7 year old and visiting Nottingham we have to do the Robin Hood thing really...any suggestions for that are VERY welcome????

There is the tales of robin hood, Nottingham castle, the caves in broad marsh shopping centre, this takes you underground to the old roads of notts, galleries of justice, or just the old market square.

they are all in notts (town centre) if its robin hood you want you would be better going to the tales of robin hood, or the castle.

I work near the square.

I second a visit to the caves its a lot of fun down there for adults and children alike

For Robin Hood i agree the Tales of Robin Hood or if you can (as its a way out) try and fit a visit in to Sherwood Forest the real home of Robin Hood, children love it there
