As there's so many Staffie owners here...

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this. Hoofa's 18 months now and he's had a bald spot on the top of his head from the age of around 6 months (if I remember rightly). His dad and brother had it, although his brother's disappeared months ago. I've been told that it's due to testosterone and is common in Staffies, so I thought I'd ask you lot!

I'll get a pic on later. He's un-neutered. Was meant to be getting the chop a couple of weeks back, but one of my snakes needed veterinary treatment, and money being tight at the moment I couldn't afford both.

It seems to be at a permanent stubbly stage, and never gets past a few millimetres long!

How big is the spot?
They do usually go with time and they may also get a small bald area in the midddle of the tail

A lot of the dogs that I've dealt with have had this problem. No worries though it usually grows back in. The one in the middle of their tails is caused by an overactive sweat gland yet again nothing to worry about.

That's interesting about the tail...he had that too, but that got all scabby and sore where he wouldn't leave it alone.

I'm just uploading a pic now
