collars

What kind of collar do you all use on you dogs?

Have any of you ever used a martingale collar like the ones they use on greyhounds, like the ones at the bottom of this page http://greyhoundgap.proboards35.com/...num=1077443799. I'm going to buy Olive a new collar but not sure what kind to go for. My last one I bought from Greyhound Gap and it is terrific but I only use it out walking, it's a clip collar that I wear reasonably tight so that she doesn't slip out. This time I would like to get a collar that she could wear in the house if needed and outside, but that she can't back out of - wondered if a martingale would suit.

Any thoughts? :smt023

Edited to add: Olives head is narrower that her neck, hence the problem .

We use a rolled leather one on Toby and to look at him you would think that he has not got one on as it is hidden by his fur.

Thanks guys,

Oh Mr leo, your Tobys collar must be massive . I must stop looking a photos of your Leos :smt007 and keep reminding myself that my house is just not big enough .

Lel, yeh thats the ones - Annas work is wonderful. We have a 1 inch clip collar in T5 trim just now, going to order a matching lead. Everyone we meet comments on the collar, they are very pretty indeed.

I alway tended to go for the rolled collars as they disturb the hair less on show dogs But I have seen some very pretty ones around lately. The vet had some collars and leads with little flowers on Very tempting :P
