School plays

Was talking to a work collegue last night...and he said hes going to watch his little girls school xmas play this week...but they've had letters telling them no cameras because of the fear of paedo's...how sad !

My kids school is the same. Even at nursery I had to sign a form so they could take photos of my kids

The photos and films I have of when my kids were younger are treasured possessions...what a shame parents are now going to be deprived of these

I agree that is sad - of course we need to be wary of these people, but we still have to live life.

Our school don't allow cameras or videos either...nothing to do with paedeophiles...just want to sell us the video and photo's

Hi
Last year we lived in Scotland and there were no cameras or filming allowed I was so upset as my daughter had a big part and I soo wanted to capture it to share with my Mum and everyone who couldn't be there. This year at their new school the policy is as long as all parents sign a consent form then cameras etc are allowed. At their last school one of the excuses was copyright law due to the songs and script being written by someone else. Does seem very harsh to deprive families of these treasured momentoes...

The last school play that I went to I could take pics.

Unfortunatly that's the world we now live in, even if it does mean we miss special moments like these on camera
