Talk about stupid

Hi all,
My Dad got a producer last week,he'as a HGV Driver and he knocked over a sign,anyway the police came breathalised him and gave him a producer.So he took hi documents to the local cop shop,he was in there for 45 mins,first they wanted to know what force it was,then they wanted to see the time on it,then they wanted to know the colour of the trailor,then they wanted to know what his job was,by this time he had enough and said no wonder you can't catch criminals if you can't even read documents and details on a producer
