Looking for a crate to fit in the boot of my car - any recomendations?

I have a crate in my car at the moment that has a door on the front and side it fits in my boot perfectly, the problem is the door on the front wont open because my cars not an estate (I have a astra) the boot doesnt open straight from the bottom there is a lip and the door is too low to open over it so I am having to push the crate right over and open the side dooe to let Loki out but he is getting abit big for this now and I need to find a crate with a higher door on the front ASAP before he doesnt fit any more, but all the crates I have looked at seem to have the doors in the same place. I cant afford to have one custom made at the moment. If anyone has any suggestions they would be very much appreciated!

If there is any space between the top of the crate and the head lining is it sufficient for you to be able to raise the crate you already have up a bit to clear the boot lip.

No the boot only just shuts with the crate as it is, I have to ensure the crate is dead center or the boot wont shut its that close a fit!

OK how high up from the base of the crate does the gate need to be to open?

Just measured it and the boot comes up quite away the door needs to be about 8 inches up which wouldnt give it room to be a proper sized door! Looks like I need one with a sliding door but they are expensive!

Would it perhaps be cheaper to buy a dog guard and tailgate instead?

Not sure how much they are mind, but just a possible alternative.

Yeah very! I need to buy a new collar for him, new lead, vent lock and new crate or guards for the car, not to mention food or puppy training classes and often havent got money for food (for me I always make sure he's alright!) but he's worth every penny and some!
