miniature schnauzer info

As posted earlier this week, we are thinking of getting a miniature schnauzer. Any advice as to the best way to get one in our area - Lancashire. We have looked at various internet sites for breeders and wonder if this is the best way of getting a pup. Also, does anyone know the average price of a miniature schnauzer pup - this tends to vary by several hundred pounds?! Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Dazzle welcome to Dogweb...you best option is to contact the SCGB and they will send you a list of breeders who are members and have signed up to the code of ethics.I will PM you the details. You can expect to pay around £600 for a puppy and you should make sure the parents have had the necessary eye tests, this is all explained on the club site. The puppy can be tested for CCs at 6-8 weeks so may have had the first tests when you get it. Good look and please come and share your puppy with us when you get one
