Any florists or gardeners can advise?

Hi,
I'm getting married next year in August, and I adore yellow flowers. Can anyone recommend any that will be good as centre pieces, or in bouquets please?

The reason I'm asking is because we walked into a florist last week to get an idea, and she just spouted a load of names at me. I have absolutely no idea what she was talking about

Eileen you took the words out of my mouth, nothing more beautiful than yellow roses, they are for friendship too!

Sunflowers are very popular here; can add freesias to the roses as they come in yellow and glorious perfume..also try a different florist!

Ah, but don't you have to be careful with roses. I find they don't really last long as cut flowers and wilt quickly.

The commercially grown ones are specially reared to last well...not like our tender garden varieties.. sadly they almost always lose the perfume in that process which is why I would add yellow freesias.

I had yellow roses and gypsophillia in my cortege and it lasted well. I also had blue hyacinth as well, it was lovely but that is 50+ years ago.
