Soothing post-op sore skin

Toffee had her op to remove a tumour on her back leg
yesterday. Both her front legs were shaved for the
IV's, one is looking a bit bruised & sore, and she's
been licking it. I'm wondering if I could put something
soothing on it, like aloevera jelly, is that safe for dogs?
or can anyone suggest something else?

Arnica for bruising in tablet form is good. If you aren't there to stop her licking then a collar is best. If you are there to stop her then sudocrem is good and also can be put on when you take her out. Gives it time to seep into the skin.
