What to do when your message vanishes..

Right click in the body of the message and you will see UNDO

Click on that and HEY PRESTO!

Discovered by sheer accident as all the best things are...

Wow thank you .... I'm always losing messages and have taken recently to swiping ctrl/c to save a message half way through if its a long one as I frequently hit 'something' that makes me wipe the screen . Well done and thanks for passing this on to us.

What do you mean guys? While typing? Or after you have posted?

I made some changes to the server that should actually make the site faster not sure what's going on with messages - maybe logging out and back in again might help?

I think it's because some of us have twitchy fingers, well I do anyway . I think sometimes I dap my finger on something else and lose the post.

I often do that and it's maddening to lose everything (think it's something at the bottom of the keyboard that does it ) so thanks a million Rosebud

No AZZ - because I can assure you that Dogsey is the ONLY site where that has ever happened to me! Typing away and it all vanished or submitted it and it vanished. And I've read so many other regular members complain of the same thing that I assumed it must be a site 'glitch'.

Many many times have I read on here 'typed a long reply and lost the lot can't be bothered to type it all again' or words to that effect!

One thing I will say is that it was always more likely to happen when using my Android tablet. But then a lot of stuff behaves differently when using that. I tend to try to keep posts very short if using that or use the 'speak to it' facility instead so I can't 'touch' anything by mistake!

While typing...I have known it on other sites way back. Just half the message or more.. vanishes. The great thing is that it is possible to retrieve it immediately. So no need to log out etc. Simple!
