Leash clips

Does anyone please know where I can buy online leash clips that will not break after a few months? All I can get are the trigger type and having very nearly lost Pereg this morning because yet another one broke [thankfully she has a great recall although I did end up sitting on the pavement with my arms outstretched while I called her] and I really do need stronger clips as I cannot be out with her all the time she is outside on her tether.

Thanks

I cannot help you Malka, I'm sorry. We have a local shop that sells heavy duty stuff for dogs (because tons of people here like to own pit bulls) and I always just get my heavy duty stuff from them.

Jade was an extreme powerhouse in her youth, and no recall to boot, so I know what you mean with them breaking.

Jade is now nearly 11 years old, and her hips aren't much good anymore and she's lost most of her power. Nigredo is weaker than my cat (despite being 67 pounds) so no longer need any of that stuff.

I will look about, and let you know if I find anything.

What about getting climbing clips. They might be stronger and better.

I have tried them but the problem is that they do not swivel so her tether ends up twisted and in knots.

Oh, and they also break although how an 18kg dog can break a climbing clip, assuming that you mean carabiners, I do not know.

I am now frightened to let her out.

That would be ideal if I was able to get out to clip Pereg on to it but as I cannot I have to clip her tether from the thing on the wall inside my door. Just as I have to clip her on before I open the door.

I guess both she and I were lucky this time - I heard the clip snap and she came back to me without having gone onto the road. And I know these trigger clips do not last forever, but I need a stronger clip that will not weigh too much for her, and honestly do not know what else to do.

Sorry, I am not rejecting responses, but Pereg is not a big dog it is just that trigger clips break and I so nearly lost her today.

But I cannot put a horse clip on such a small dog.

There must be some type or leash clip that will not keep breaking.

The hooks/clips are not huge just strong so a horse couldn't break them

Have a look here
