Gained a lodger for the evening.

I haven't been on much lately as work's been really busy but I couldn't resist popping in to show you Lucy.

Lucy came in to the kennels on Christmas Eve as her owner is dying and can no longer care for her. It was very emotional for everyone involved and poor Lucy was a bit shocked to find herself in kennels.

Anyway today she went in for a dental so that she's sorted to start looking for her new home (she's 9 years old). When she came back it was obvious that she was one of the last ones operated on today and was barely with it. Although she had been able to stand at the vets when she got to familiar ground she went back to being dopey. I brought her up to my house and settled her in a crate for the evening so that I could keep an eye on her.

My boys have been good, even Malcolm who's not yet used to me wandering in with waifs and strays.

Aw, what a pretty little thing she is , but how sad to have to be re-homed at her age. She must be so confused

Thank you for caring for her and I really hope she can find her forever home very soon.
