Which is lovely, but the poor girl is now in hospital for 'several days' with acute morning sickness

That was my first thought but it can be a very serious condition.
She will need to be on a drip and all sorts of electrolyte replacements.
This is our future king or queen we are talking about here

Yeah I realise that, I was sick every day all day for the first 4 months with Leon, but .... I had a 6 year old who needed to be taken to school, and a job, which I would have lost if I hadn't gone, so I had to carry on. Most of us have to live in the real world unfortunately

I am very happy for them both, they are a lovely couple, and I think they live in the real world much more than any of their predecessors do. Still....would William's co-worker's wives be able to go into hospital because of non stop morning sickness...I think not

My neice had hyperemesis, and trust me, carrying on is just not a possibility

It is constant sickness. I had morning, noon and night sickness til 20 weeks with each of my boys, but my neice just never stopped, poor girl and ended up almost permanently in hospital on a drip feeding her fluids for the whole time, it really can be life-threatening .

So royal or not, hyperemesis is not just ordinary or even bad morning sickness

Hyperemesis gravidarum is a very serious condition which in days gone by people actually died from . My daughter is pregnant at the moment and is suffering from this . She has been in hospital on an intravenous infusion as she was suffering from severe dehydration . She has been very ill indeed . She has lost a tremendous amount of weight and considering she is a size 10 and very thin to start with this is not good .
The only way she can eat now is because she is on medication which doesn't actually stop her feeling sick it just means she doesn't actually vomit .
However there are people worse than her . Some people have to have a feeding tube and there are people who have had to have an abortion to save their life .
For anyone who thinks this is just a bit of morning sickness they should try having it or having the worry of a daughter with this .
She is a veterinary surgeon and most definately does live in the real world
