I have definitely had people say that about my dogs. "You paid how much for that dog??", "you paid how much on that vet bill??".

A friend of mine told me she spent £600 on clothes a couple of weeks ago. Considering she doesn't earn a fortune, my response was of course "how much??".

Boots, I argue that I pay as much for boots as my friends spend on fags, but at the end, I have a lovely pair of boots, and they have black lungs, so who's the mug now

You should come and live here Murf, there's none of that stuff goes on, in fact the thing that irks me constantly is the local people always but always buy on price not quality, give them a choice between a bag costly the equivalent of £10 made by a reputable manufacturer and one costing £9.99 which is badly made and they will always buy the £9.99 one.

Having said that I would never pay £2500 for a pair of shoes, only people with more money than brains would do that, but vulgar exhibitionists exist every where don't they

The only time I had to say that was when I saw a lovely pair of fur lined boots in the spring that were in a sales section but with no price tag
I tried them on, fell in love with them. Great quality

I asked the price

£3

!!!!! how much?????? needless to say I got them, I still have them and they still look great

Well I ask my husband that question everytime he buys a new golf club or item of golfing equipment!

We've had people say how much about how much we paid for Monty as a pup and then equally the same when they ask how much the operation on his head cost. When i tell them it was £2000 you get the "how much" remark or tell me that it's a ridiculous amount of money to pay for an operation on a dog. Not to me it's not - it was worth every bloody penny in my opinion.

Aside from the dog my "how much" items would be my camera and my home entertainment system.
