Footage of shark which closed New Quay beach
The RNLI says the public were advised not to swim in the sea near New Quay beach in Ceredigion on Tuesday after a shark was spotted by its lifeguards.Red flags were raised on the beach 17.25 BST.
The RNLI say it is extremely unusual to see a shark so close to the shoreline.
The visitor, believed to be a Blue Shark, swam between boats moored at the end of the beach behind the town's breakwater.
The beach at New Quay reopened on Wednesday.
This footage was filmed by Jasmine Jones from her boat, who also described what she saw.
