Our Trip to Ireland

Yesterday we got back from Ireland so thought I'd post a few pics from our trip

Darcey showing how far she has come in the 11 weeks she has been with us

A view from one of our walks through the forest

The spots on one of our walks through the nature reserve in the forest

A view from one of the houses we viewed

The spots in the car

A walk in another forest and lough near another house we viewed

A view point overlooking the lough at the top of the forest near where we stayed

Our walk around the reservoir in the forest on the last day before going home

What did you think of the house you looked at?

We viewed 6 houses in total and we liked one a lot, but don't want to say too much about it at the moment as I don't want to jinx it

Whereabouts in Ireland were you? My Auntie and Uncle lived over there for over 30 years - in various parts of the country - North and South! It's a very beautiful place xx

Lovely pics! Looks like the spotties gave it their seal of approval anyway!

OT a little I know - but - are they Julius K9 IDC harnesses? I'm thinking of getting one of these for Whisper as it can be used for the car (with Y strap) and for walking too - and I really like the design of them! What do you think of them? And - from what I've read the 'girth strap' doesn't come too close to under the front legs but is more on the tummy - is that right? Thanks for any help!

We stayed in Fermanagh but went over the border to view houses

Cooper (the mostly white one) has the Julius K9 IDC which he has had about 18 months or so, and Darcey has the new style Doxlock harness, which she has had for a couple of months.
My other 2 dogs have also got Julius K9 and Doxlock harnesses. I prefer the newer style Doxlock to the older style one, the webbing is better quality. I really like them, they fit well and don't rub the Dallies at all, as they are quite sensitive.

Thank you!

Do you think the Doxlock is better than the IDC? xx

I wish you lots of success with your house search and plans, by the way xx xx

I prefer the IDC overall. I would have got another IDC for Darcey but the Doxlock had the shade of purple I wanted

Thank you!

I have been banned from buying anything too girly lol as my beloved refuses to walk Whisper on a 'girly' harness!

He won't even use her 'yellow bones' Spiffy Dog lead! I did get a slightly glitzy dog tag for her though....

I think I'll end up going for the IDC as they have a specific car harness attachment. The Doxlock looks good though.
