Monty - 2 year old male Staffie
Monty, Staffie, DOB 06.10 - Gatwick, Surrey
Homing requirements: Monty will succeed in his new family with people who have dog experience and can offer him confidence in his management and skill development. Monty could live with another dog or be an only dog. He is kind and could be around children. Not for cats or small furries.
His Story: Police visiting a call were just about to leave when Monty's owner turned around and said "Unless you take that dog I'll kill it!!" The police took him seriously and came back to the station with Monty and were promptly told off, as it was not their role to take dogs in this way. A lady who worked in the office was called as she was known to be an animal lover. In truth she had 8 cats and a Staffie at home. She found herself coming home with Monty and realising immediately Monty was excited meeting a cat or 2 on her doorstep. She kept Monty in her bedroom and it took a very long week to eventually find us to take him. Monty is now neutered and fully vax'd.
Advert: Monty is young, gifted and black! He is gentle and is subservient by nature; listens and adjusts. Monty was mixed with a Staffie bitch once they had been properly introduced and he was told to respect her (i.e. not hump her ... well he was unneutered at the time)! Monty can be left without destruction and at worst whimpers for a short while when he knows visitors have arrived if closed off. Monty is social by nature.
Monty is a medium black brindle with white collar; a Stafford about 1-2 years old. Monty has the most beautiful head, is in good condition although a little underweight. Monty is not food focused and will often refuse treats. Monty meets dogs as a little novice and appreciates support with voice and gentle control through his lead, then he visibly relaxes. Monty needs an A1 Staffie home to respect and appreciate his many gifts.
Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.
If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.
***PLEASE NOTE: We are a rescue finding dogs their forever homes. We usually ask for a minimum donation of £150 at the time of adoption, for each dog, to help us continue helping homeless dogs***.
