How long until the swelling goes down?

Ok, so I got bit on the 28th, the bruises are gone, small cuts are basically gone, the slightly deeper ones are still healing, most of the swelling has gone. But I have some slight swelling on my hand and arm that's being stubborn, how long till it goes? The swelling on my hand is on one bit the size of a twenty pence, and the other a fifty pence. On my arm I have four different bits that feel like I've got pea's in my arm. You can't see them, just feel them. But anyone have any idea when they should be gone, or how to speed the process? Coz its annoying me now!

Dont laugh! I got a bite on the **** and because the bite was into the muscle the swelling took months to go away! Not sure how long it takes but I do know that if the bite is into the muscle it takes a lot longer.
