She has just seized again (update @ post 46)

Day 18 and she has just seized.

She was due her morning 50mg Pb at 9am - seized at just after 8am so gave her double dose [100mg] as soon as she was "with it" and able to swallow.

Gave her honey to get up her blood sugar and she has asked for and chombled a few chunks of frozen turkey necks, and is now flonked down by my chair but will jump up if I dare move.

She lost total bladder control but not bowel or even anal glands, but went out to empty her bowel soon after she came round from the seizure.

I think I am either stupid, crazy, or am doing the right thing by her. Told her to go out and make kakki and she did. Told her to stop screaming and I will give her food [she is always ravenous after a seizure] and she stopped screaming.

18 days. Not long enough but better than last time which was only 4 days.

Please vibes and prayers for Pere - she is totally out of it again and only barely responsive.

I cannot lose her - she is too young.

I know an old gentleman whose Retriever suffered with seizures for the last 10 years of his life. They coped.
It sounds like you are learning to cope too - hugs to you both.

She is quiet - ate frozen turkey necks but not that much so decided she did not need any more food - she is always ravenous after a seizure - I think she is OK now and it is 2½ hours since the seizure.

Only 18 days though. Not really good.
